I got some feedback this morning

Bitch, Moan, Bitch. It’s all you do! Where are the happy stories?

Admittedly I received this feedback while starring at the mirror. I knew I should have just checked Squidly’s hair in Culling of Stratholme!

But it’s FUN!

Everyone likes a good vent, especially when there is a bandwagon, or group therapy.

It only takes the most minor of things to turn something into the worst, the most dramatic, the end of the world is coming discussion. Not that I am suggesting that the current outrage sweeping the WoW Blogsphere is insignificant.

Still, I noticed that right now I can quickly write 5 bitch posts for every one joy post.

You know, something good happens you tell one person, something bad happens, you tell 10 (or on the blogshpere 1,000) people.

You run 9 great heroics, but it’s the one shitful one that sticks with you, that you save the story to share with your guild, with your blog readers.

I still remember 1 of the good out of the 9

Well, 3 of the 9 actually and I’ve been meaning to share it with you, but how could I resist the bitch stories?

You can shove your GearScore right up your Gnomehole!

I’ve got a GearScore… It’s somewhere between 1 and 5000. I know it was 4554 a week or so ago.

A friend looked me up while he snowman danced with me, otherwise I would have no idea.

I did some Ulduar

Off tangent for a moment, I’ll bring it back on course I promise.

Back a day or so before appearing on TNB, I did a couple of bosses in Ulduar. We only got Flame Leviathan and XT down, wiped on Razorscale and chucked it in. It was a late night, spur of the moment thing so no wucking furries.

Can you heal Ulduar10 hardmode?

I was in LookingForRaid when I got the whisper. I said I doubted it, but if it was normal I’d be ok.

He asked for GearScore and Achievements and I foolishly said yes

Squidly’s Tips: How to use LFG

Invite people!

I’ve been pugging a lot.

I mean everything.

• Sometimes I’m not even in LFG and someone plucks me out of nowhere to heal.
• Sometimes I start joining myself up to LFG and I am grabbed before I even complete my selection.
• Sometimes I join LFG and… Nothing. Hours can go by with no bites on my instance fishing line.

Lately I have found myself starting groups just because, well the reason I joined LFG was I want to run an instance, so spending even 10 minutes fishing in Dalaran is a waste of my limited time.

It’s BOE – but I NEED it!

Wot for?

Maybe I’m a bit old fashioned, but when an item drops that is an upgrade, a big upgrade, that is immediately wearable, it’s not greed, it’s NEED.

Maybe I have been spoilt over the last 4.5 years grouping with a bunch of long term friends, or worst case with guild mates.

Maybe the game has changed from NEED, GREED and PASS. I know this is true. I have never greeded so many BoPs as I have in the last few months with Squidly

Wipe Mitigation

An open letter to illiterate Tanks from a healer.

Dear Tank,

• I realize some of you were at the back of the line when the gods were handing out Intellect.
• I understand that some of you were bending over to tie your plate shoe laces (that can be hard, can’t it), and your brains got stuffed in the wrong end.
• I know this letter will be wasted, after all, you are illiterate, but maybe one of your mates will read it out to you.

That all said, I’m sure you understand the term mitigation. You know, like damage mitigation and wipe mitigation.

The 1st one you can look after yourself. A bit of armor here, dodge there, throw in a bit of parry and maybe a bubble or two and you ate all good.

In fact you don’t really have to try that hard, blizzard gives you blue and purple shinnies with it, buttons to press and even stuff in your trees (No! Not the one you are cutting down, your talent trees!).

Wipe mitigation will take a little bit more thought on your part, but don’t worry, I’m hear to help

• Someone to show wanton Gnomes like me the way things should be done.
